An unlikely story of how two Romans created an orchestra comprised entirely of immigrants from all over the world living in one area of the Eternal City. When 30 different musicians playing 15 unrelated instruments finally take the stage, they provide a rousing call to arms for all who believe in the mini-miracles of neighborhood cultural initiatives.
A Roman version of a semi-reversed Buena Vista Social Club - set on a global stage. The film was low budget but the editing, sound and story were terrific. The music and global challenge presented were central to the film and I was completely engulfed by the tension and the idea. When the film was over the screen lifted and the Orchestra was there ready to play a live set! (magical!) They played for 1 hour and a half! The characters that we just witnessed on screen where live and playing their world music to a completely moved audience. I didn’t see one person get up to go the bathroom fro over 3 hours! This was a show to remember and a big thanks to our good friend Giada Ripa who turned us on to this spectacle!

If you happen to be in LA for Cinco De Mayo, I suggest you check out E-LOVE AND AMBER DAWN's (pictured here) show at Safari Sam's! They are know as the ARP and are playing with Los Abandoned, Killola and The Audio Club. The beats are funky, groovy and are guaranteed to make you dance. You can hear some of their tracks here on their MySpace page as well. Good Luck!

Live Tango bands played as thousands of Brooklynites danced and watched the slow but soulful rhythms fill the most magnificant dance space in the city.Amelie and I enjoyed the new camera and tried to capture some of the vibe.
